Look what my hubby made me!

My husband made me this beautiful post to hang fun things on.  He's so good to me, I kinda like him...allot:). He's seriously my favorite person on the planet.
I saw this really cute post on ON THE AVENUE (my computers down or I would add the link) her blog is one of my favorites.   She had a stand similar to this one on her blog so I showed my husband what I had in mind.  It's made with 2x4's as the center.  The bottom is a wooden plaque I had.  And the top is scrap wood and the top of a bed post.  Yup, were cool like that...we use lots of recycled things:). We also used a peg I had as the hook for hanging things and some trim my dad left behind when we bought their house and some left over paint.  Super cute huh?!  This project was FREE for us so that was awesome!:).
I also just finished this post.  It's a table leg flipped upside down with a top I got for free screwed into the top.  Super cute too:)

Easter display and my grandmas old mayo jar...

My grandma had the neatest things:). I'm so glad I can use them and give them a new life.  I love having things here and there that remind me of her in my home. She had this old mayo jar.  It is big! I wish things still came as large and for much cheaper!  I love it so I added an old curtain rod end and attached it with a screw. Then I used krylons ocean breaze to paint the intitire lid.  I bought the chalkboard stickers at the dollar section at micheals and attached it.  It's so cute and so perfect for my Easter display:).

Chevron framed eggs

This is a compleat $ store craft....well minus the spray paint.  I walked into my dollar tree the other day and and I found the cutest chevron wrapping paper.  It was with the Easter stuff.  I had these little frames that I had used for Halloween  a few years ago (also dollar tree) so I sprayed them with krylons ocean breaze ( I'm pretty sure that's the name if it) and then added the paper and a glitter foam egg I bought there a few years ago that I cut in half.  They turned out way cute!! And cost just a few dollars:). I love dollar tree!

Keeping busy with Easter orders!

I've made so many "hops" and Easter Trios it's crazy!  I love it tho;). I saw these on Pinterest.  In her set she had a carrot but I wanted an egg so I drew these up and have been having so much fun with them....until my saw bit the dust....right in the mist of several orders:/. So I'm on the hunt for a new saw.  In the meantime I have to use my dads to get orders done.  But aren't they just too cute?!

I"ve Been.....

BuSy!

Well Kinda:) I have had this frame for awhile (yard sale find) and had painted it black but didn't really like it. I told my hubby today that i am soooo over black and dark colors. You know what i mean? Anyway, I decided to go out of the box and choose a color out of my paint box that fit my mood today:) I chose this pretty soft green:) I just put one even coat over the whole thing and then just lightly sanded it to give it a"Grungy" look:)

I LOVE specimen art and decided to give it a go:) I took my $ store Styrofoam eggs (dollar tree) then used a serrated knife to slice them in half:) I used scrapbook paper and hot glued the eggs on. I LOVE IT!! Its so bright and cheerful:) That's the thing i love most about spring is all the beautiful colors and how fresh everything is.

Unfortunately i have to put this aside for a week until St. Patty's is over:( BUT I found a really pretty subway art to stick in my frame until then:) I wish i would have seen this earlier its so perfect for St. Patty's but could totally be left out all year:) I found it at Living Up (such a cute blog!) She has it in black and white or like this....

Pretty huh?! Thanks AMY for this free printable:) Be sure to check out her blog she is also a new blogger!:)

My sweet friend Kacie gave me these. Arnt they pretty?! I just painted my blocks white and sanded the edges a bit and stuck on the letters. Easy Peasy:)

and last but certainly not least. I have had this Country decoration for years. It was a dark Burgundy but like i said before i am so sick of being in the dark! I grabbed another color and went for it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it came out! I just sanded the edges to expose the red color. It made it look like i stained the edges with a dark walnut stain! I love when things turn out the easy way haha:)

Start to finish i did this all in about 2 hrs! Crazy huh?! My baby slept for most of it and my dear sweet hubby played with the kids outside so i could have some alone time. I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband!

Okay well that will do it for now! I told you i had been BuSy:) Have a Great Night / Day!:)

Easter Egg Tree and a Bit Of Luck...

I love Dollar Tree! I went in today to pick up a few essentials and got side tracked when i saw all the Eater Stuff!! I saw all these trees and then i saw the cute little Styrofoam eggs to hang on the trees! i couldn't pass up a cute little tree for a dollar! I swiped a tree 2 packs of eggs and a pack of big eggs with wooden stix, This is what i did....

I added some Spanish moss to cover up the ugly kitty litter looking stuff in the pot..

much better:)

Then i hot glued these little eggs all over the tree so they wouldn't slide around. Then i added a big egg to the top! EASY! (the wooden stix comes out easy if you just give it a turn)

AND HERE IT IS!

So stinken cute right?! I gave this to my mom and have more stuff waiting for me to make mine:) I think its way to early for Easter so ill wait to make mine. This way I'm not tempted to put it out!:) I had to buy all i needed cause stuff goes fast!

Now its on to St. Patricks Day Stuff!

I spelled out my blocks to say "Luck" I LOVE these blocks!

I got the cute little Shamrock at Jo-ann Fabrics for 50% off! I also got a Heart for Valentines day. I cant wait to put it out next year:)

This is my Shamrock from Michael's. Ive had it a few years but it would be so easy to make! ...I'm so glad i have a scroll saw now:)

Okay this post is kinda all over the place but just bare with me lol:)

I have wanted an apothecary jar 4 E-V-E-R! I finally found the perfect candle stick and jar at GoodWill. I loved how chunky it was...

The Color? Not so much. I spray painted it black. I also got this wire garland today at Dollar Tree.

I thought it would look cute in the jar and tried to find some shamrocks to go in the jar with this garland. well they didn't have any:( so i came home and got looking around the house and came across the little pots i made for valentines day with the hearts in them. I took the hearts out of the pots...

took out the wood sticks and hot glued them together...

Painted them green and added some white glitter! Brilliant right?! :) They turned out way cuter then i thought:) I love when that happens!

I added the garland to my jar....

then added the caaute shamrocks.

I'm loooohaaaving it!
