I'm so excited for a new HoLiDaY!! Christmas was full of Fun and Family:) But i have to say im kinda glad its OVER. The tree is coming down today!
I did a ton of Christmas Crafts for my boutique that didn't turn out like i had hoped:( It was 35$ to enter and I made my 35$ back plus 15$. UgH Not really worth the week of preparation and late nights:( But what do you do? So i am ready to craft for fun for ME That's the funnest part of it all! After doing the Boutique i decided i like to Craft because it makes me happy and when i start freaking out that my stuff might not be good enough it turns into something stressful and not FuN! Anyone else feel like that? Anyway...I have LOTS of Cute ideas i want to make for LoVe day So stay tuned for them!!:) You all are Awesome! I LoVe My blog friends:)

Oh my gosh I feel the exact same way.. I enrolled myself in a boutique because I was encouraged by some friends and family who are sweet enough to believe in me.. so I spent two weeks going nuts and making stuff.. I 2nd guessed myself every single step of the way..I threw things away that I thought were not good enough and I was SO stressed. I though this is not why i craft.. I craft as a release from stress.. I do it because I love it.. and I am not loving this right now. So I actually bailed out of my first boutique.. I am so glad I got my money back!! And I gave all the stuff I made away to those friends and family that supported me!! So you are not alone girl!!! But I give you props for going trough with it :)
Right there with you. I am not sure what a boutique is b/c I am not sure we have those around here, but I did a HUGE craft show early this month. After 2 months of preparation I only made back a little more than the entry fee ($75) and the city required business license ($35). I am sad. And now what to do with all this stuff that I didn't sell? I made sure I wouldn't sell out just in case so it is a lot of stuff left. Kudos for trying.
Amen to ALL of the comments above and to you, Mary! In the years past I would do 4 or more boutiques and by Christmas Day... I was going nuts!! This year, I did only one and by the end of the boutique, i was selling things that were priced $10.00 for $1.00, just to get rid of them! I should have taken Lyndsey's advice and just kept everything and given out to my friends! :)
I think we all second guess our talents and cause ourselves so much unwanted stress! Wish we didn't do that. Of course, the economy is still in pretty bad shape which is why your 'stuff' didn't move...most definitely NOT because of your talent!!
