Heart string art

Have you ever made "nail string art"? It's so fun and easy:)

 It's freezing cold outside and most of my family is sick so my oldest daughter and I picked out a few scrap pieces of wood to create these cute shelf sitters. 

We started by painting and distressing our boards.  Then we cut out a large heart and small heart out of paper.  We placed the paper on the board as a template. We used little finishing nails and tapped them into place. After you have done that remove your paper and tie your yarn around one nail.  I wrapped mine around the whole heart first then started randomly laceing my yard around the nails until I liked the way it looked then tied it off.  So easy! Aren't they cute?!
