DIY Lace & Frame Jewelry and Bow Holder

This was so Fun and Easy to make. I took an old frame and painted it this beautiful blue.  I had this pretty lace from my Grandma so I hot glued it to the back on the frame and then made the bow.  This is for my niece Audrey for her Birthday tonight.  I cant wait to give it to her!  I found the tutorial for both of these adorable ideas on You Tube at Show Me Cute.  {such an ADORABLLE channel}

Summer FUN!

HI EVERYONE!  I saw THIS recipe for Sidewalk Chalk Paint and thought it was easy enough and best of all I had it all in my cupboards:)  Cant beat that right?!  I let my kids measure out the cornstarch and water and then let them color the chalk with GEL FOOD COLOR (I LOVE LOVE LOVE gel food color. The colors are SO vibrant!)

I used an old muffin tin I had to hold all the colors. I think it worked really well:)  I gave each of my kids a paint brush and let them go to town:)  They loved it and the best part, it kept them busy for awhile!

 We also made some "GAK".  This was so fun to make and so easy.  {I used this Tutorial} I was worried this was going to be messy, but its sooooo clean!  Way cleaner then any play dough and super fun to play with!  Look at my Table...SEE, NO MESS!
What have you been up to this summer?!

gUmBaLl NeCkLaCe and bRacElaT

Hey everyone!:) Anyone who knows me knows I am a BIG fan of anything sweet!:) I {heart} cAnDy:) SoOoO when I saw this idea HERE I had to make some with my girls.

CUTE right?! I made this one for my nieces Birthday. I went to the dollar tree and picked up a bag of BIG gumballs and a pack of small gumballs and then picked out the pink and white ones. I got one of my drill bits, washed it in warm soapy water and then started drilling thru one gumball at a time. I used a quilting needle to lace the ribbon thru each gumball and then tied a knot between each gumball. So easy and really fun for kids to make:) and me too:)

Fairy Art {free printable}

I LOVE all the free printable art people are making these days:) I found this one HERE. Thanks MINDY this is so cute!!

I had this old frame that i got at a yard sale for .25 cents. I love yard sales:) they make me giddy haha When I buy frames i try and not look at whats in it or how ugly it is. Which trust me, can be hard but try and look at what it could be:) Frames can get pretty pricey so i love yard sale ones!:)

I decided to use acrylic paint for the frame and the matt inside. I just got some new colors and couldn't wait to give em a try:) After the paint dried i used clear spray paint as the finishing touch.

OH! I also sanded the edges...of course!:) After I finished the frame I got to work on my free printable:) I printed mine small so i could fit it in this little frame but i ran into a problem....the pix was tooooo small. yikes! so i went through my scrapbook paper and oddly enough i had a piece of green almost the same color as the actual printout! NICE!! SO I glued it on and covered the seem with ribbon. I also had some of these jewels so I embellished with them:) I love the way it turned out:) It felt good to have time to actually make something. My days have been full of laundry, homework and meals. Crafting is a lot harder these days for some reason....having to drag out all my stuff and clean it up i guess is what deters me. do you feel the same? It was worth it though cause I LOVE IT!!:) I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

I cant wait to re-do my kids Bedrooms.

We are going to be moving again this summer and I cant wait! My grandma left her house to my dad when she passed away. My parents have been fixing it up and guess what? I get to move into their house:) I am really excited! Its kinda cool to have my kids live in the house i did most of my growing up in. I have been scouting out how to do my girlz new bedroom. i have always wanted to do something special so i am going to jump in head first and do it. I have some ideas for my little guy too but those will be to come. I found an awesome headboard and foot board last weekend at a yard sale for him for 12$ I'm so happy!! It has about 50 coats of paint on it but it should look great when I'm done! Anyway these are some inspiration photos i have been drooling over and some new ones i have just stumbled on for Rosie and Emma:) Click on the pix to check out where i found them:)

I cant WAIT!!
